Both sides of the Plank Firm Luxe showed a significant temperature increase during the first 15 minutes of testing, jumping upwards of 14°F. In comparison, the Saatva Classic had just a 6.3°F increase. Even the all-foam Siena has a smaller MTI, despite foam's reputation for overheating. However, both sides showed a relatively quick cooling rate (the Extra Firm even outperformed the Bear Elite Hybrid, our favorite cooling mattress). Expect the bed to warm up as you lie on it and cool quickly when you move.
